On Monday, November 23, Circa Interactive helped the California Innocence Project bring media attention to the case of Luis Vargas, who spent 16 years in prison and was cleared after DNA evidence proved his innocence.
Our Creative Director Joseph Lapin consulted with the California Innocence Project to develop a media strategy to alert journalists and correspondents to Vargas’ release. Thanks to the California Innocence Project, Vargas’ freedom was made public, helping lead the way to end wrongful convictions.
“The California Innocence Project is such a valuable organization,” Lapin said, “and their clients have such powerful stories to tell. We’re just thrilled to help ensure their stories are heard.”
